Volunteer with New Jersey Trails Association!
The New Jersey Trails Association is made up of volunteers. The efforts of
volunteers make it possible to collect the information about walking trails
that you find on this site. If you would like to provide feedback to help us make the website more helpful please contact us at the following phone number:

See D&R Greenway Land Trust for more ways to participate in stewardship.
You can help in a number of ways:
- Gathering trail information and preparing trail guides: This is something you can do with a friend and it is fun.
Suggest trails to be posted on the site. Team up with another member, walk
a trail, record key facts about it, pull together information from existing
sources, and write a short trail guide like the ones you see on this site.
- Do "quality control walks" to verify trail information. Take the trail guide
that another member has already written, and put it to the test. Use it to
find the trail, walk the routes described, and see if the directions are clear
and accurate. Write up any problems you find, so the guide can be corrected
before it is posted.
- Join us for trail design and building projects which take place on weekends. This work is gratifying because you can actually particpate in building a trail. Learn skills from professional trail designers. Everyone is welcome. We have volunteers from 12 years of age to 70 years of age working in trails at Baldpate Mountain and adjacent to Washington Crossing State Park in Mercer County.
- Provide feedback on trail walks. If you find something that can be improved, please drop us an e-mail so we, or the managing entity can be notified.
